I travel to the Caribbean quite often and I usually buy a cheap pair of thong sandles that can’t withstand the rain, dirt, beach and constant use. The island I go to has no sidewalks, lots of dirt roads, puddles and hills to climb on a daily basis. I was there for two whole weeks and had to depend on walking and public transportation. These shoes have been through everything including the beach (walking through water) and rainy days. They still look great and they are extremely comfortable and DURABLE! I didn’t enjoy paying $40 for a measly pair of thong sandles, but trust me you get what you pay for, and these crocs were worth the money! I’m ready to buy another pair in a different color. Right now I have the fuschia and white.
I am a size 7.5 and ordered these in size 7, as most people that bought them claimed they ran big. They are indeed very comfortable…if you are not in the middle of sizes. The 7′s were *just slightly* small…just so that you can’t tell until you’ve walked a little and your feet keep slipping out of them. I know 8′s will be too big, as these were nearly there, but not quite.
I am an expert in Thong sandals, these have been my favorite so far, they are super light, they give enough support that you can walk the whole day without feeling any pain or feel your feet tired. I think it must depend on your feet but I particularity don’t sweat with these sandals, I recommend them.
