Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I have had my dansko's for about one month now. I like them much better than my crocs I have been wearing for the past 4 years. I had switched mainly for arch support which was severely lacking in the crocs. I did like the comfort of the crocs and the tactile feel especially when working a rheostat foot pedal. The dansko's, however, are not as comfortable and are clunky when working the foot pedal. The dansko's do offer easy cleaning, great protection from dropped instruments, and are easy on the socks. The downside is they do take some getting used to as far as fit. I don't find that I am constantly rolling my ankle in them as many people have reported. You cannot wear horribly thick socks such as athletic socks with them even with appropriate sizing. They also have been staining my white socks black because of the oiled leather upper. The instructions that came with them did warn me of this problem. In addition, your feet will sweat allot when you wear these all day. All in all that's quite a few negatives, but I do believe in knowing the negatives is extremely important. I still think that the dansko's are far better for your feet than crocs and offer better protections and a more professional appearance than running shoes.

This firm fitting shoe provides great arch support and aligns your body in such a way that it relieves lower-back pain. They take a little getting used to if you haven't worn a clog before. But they are definitely worth the money. Bottom-line is after years of working as a server and not being able to walk the next morning, I now cook for 8 hours and my feet are quite pain free the next day.
